PharmMentor is an independent pharmacy education and revision platform, primarily intended for UK foundation trainee pharmacists preparing for the registration assessment. This disclaimer applies to our clinical and calculation question banks, answer explanations, worked examples, flashcards, mock assessments, progress information and other educational content available through PharmMentor. Section 6 also describes our planned AI-assisted flashcard feature, which is not currently available.
PharmMentor provides educational resources to support revision, understanding and assessment preparation. Our content does not constitute medical advice, patient-specific clinical advice or legal advice. It is not a substitute for formal education, supervised training or professional judgement. PharmMentor must not be used as a clinical decision-making tool or relied upon to diagnose, prescribe, dispense or administer medicines, or to make decisions about an individual patient’s care. This includes using our calculation questions, worked examples or flashcards to determine doses or treatment regimens for actual patients. In clinical practice, consult current authoritative guidance, the relevant product information and applicable local policies, and seek appropriate professional advice or supervision. Do not delay seeking medical assistance or professional advice because of something you have read on PharmMentor. Our resources do not replace the responsibilities that apply to you as a trainee, student or registered healthcare professional.
We take reasonable care when preparing and maintaining our educational content. However, errors, omissions, ambiguities and outdated information may occur. Clinical guidance, medicines safety information, vaccination recommendations, legislation and assessment requirements may change. Updates to PharmMentor may not appear immediately following changes to the underlying guidance or source material. Our resources may refer to publications such as NICE guidance, NICE Clinical Knowledge Summaries, the British National Formulary (BNF), the British National Formulary for Children (BNFC), product information available through the electronic Medicines Compendium, Medicines, Ethics and Practice, and the UK immunisation Green Book. References support learning and further reading; our questions and explanations do not replace the complete original sources. Consult the current version of the relevant source, including any qualifications, exceptions and patient-specific considerations. Where a review date is shown, it relates to that particular item and does not mean that every resource on the platform was checked on that date. Our materials do not provide an exhaustive account of every medicine, clinical situation, legal requirement or topic that may be assessed.
PharmMentor is not affiliated with, approved by, endorsed by or acting on behalf of the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) or the Pharmaceutical Society of Northern Ireland (PSNI). References to regulators, professional bodies, NHS organisations, NICE, publishers, universities or training providers are for educational or identification purposes. They do not imply that those organisations have reviewed, approved or endorsed PharmMentor. Our practice questions and mock assessments are independent revision resources, not official registration assessment papers. Descriptions such as ‘exam-style’ or ‘assessment-focused’ refer to their educational purpose. They do not mean that our materials reproduce, predict or guarantee the content of an actual assessment. We do not claim access to confidential assessment questions. Always consult the relevant regulator’s current assessment framework, candidate guidance and assessment instructions.
Using PharmMentor does not guarantee a pass, a particular score, admission to the register, employment or any other educational or professional outcome. Practice scores, mock assessment results, progress indicators and personalised revision suggestions reflect your activity on PharmMentor. They should not be treated as reliable predictions of your registration assessment result or confirmation that you are competent to practise independently. Testimonials describe individual experiences and do not promise that other users will achieve the same results. PharmMentor should form part of a broader preparation plan, alongside your training, supervision, official assessment guidance and other appropriate learning resources. This section does not remove any specific contractual commitments we make or affect your statutory rights.
Unless expressly identified otherwise, patient scenarios and case studies are fictional educational examples. They may simplify clinical circumstances to focus on a particular learning point. An answer marked as correct is the intended answer within the information, assumptions and options provided. It should not be interpreted as a universal recommendation for every patient or situation. An option described as incorrect for one question may be appropriate in a different context. Calculation answers depend on the stated figures, units, assumptions and rounding instructions. They must not be applied to actual patients, prescriptions or treatment decisions. Where a question specifies a jurisdiction, practice setting, date or version of a resource, interpret the question on that basis. Do not assume that its answer applies unchanged in other circumstances. Some questions require you to follow an external reference link and find the information needed to answer the question. Follow the resource instructions provided. If a linked resource has changed, is unavailable or no longer supports a question or answer, please report the issue. Do not assume that the displayed answer remains correct following a material change to the underlying reference.
PharmMentor’s AI-assisted flashcard feature is in development and is not currently available. When introduced, it is intended to generate optional, targeted revision flashcards based on questions you have answered incorrectly within PharmMentor. It is not a chatbot or a facility for submitting your own AI prompts. AI-generated flashcards may contain errors, omissions, oversimplifications or outdated information, even when based on existing question content. Use them alongside the original questions, explanations and relevant references, rather than as a replacement for those materials. Unless a flashcard is expressly identified as having been individually reviewed, do not assume that a pharmacist has checked that particular AI-generated flashcard. Please report suspected inaccuracies through our feedback facility, where available, or our Contact page. Personalised flashcards are revision aids. They do not identify every learning need, confirm mastery of a topic or establish your readiness for the registration assessment. Before the feature becomes available, our Privacy Policy will explain how your question-answer history and any related personal information are used to provide it. The use of AI does not remove our responsibilities for the content and services we provide.
PharmMentor provides external reference links to support learning, further reading and resource-dependent questions. These links direct you to resources published on third-party websites. The linked publications are not PharmMentor content, and we do not present them as our own. A link or reference does not imply a partnership, affiliation, endorsement, accreditation or approval by the relevant publisher or organisation. PharmMentor’s questions, explanations and educational interpretations should not be attributed to a linked publisher unless expressly identified as that publisher’s statement. External resources are subject to their providers’ own terms, privacy policies and access requirements. Access may depend on registration, subscription, eligibility or geographical restrictions. Use your own authorised access where required and comply with the relevant provider’s conditions. A PharmMentor subscription does not include a subscription or licence to any third-party publication and does not grant permission to bypass that provider’s access restrictions. We do not control external websites or subsequent changes to their content, availability, website addresses or access arrangements. A reference link does not mean that we have reviewed every part of the linked website or that its content will remain unchanged. Copyright, database rights, trade marks and other intellectual property rights in linked resources remain with their respective rights holders. Providing a link does not transfer ownership or, in itself, grant permission to copy, reproduce, redistribute or commercially reuse protected material. Any such use must be permitted by the rights holder, an applicable licence or the law. Please report broken, inaccessible or inappropriate links through our feedback facility, where available, or our Contact page. These limitations concerning external websites do not remove our responsibility for our own questions, explanations, representations or contractual commitments.
Access to PharmMentor is provided for the learning purposes permitted under your subscription and our Terms and Conditions. Except where permitted by law or expressly authorised, you must not copy, redistribute, publish, sell, scrape or commercially exploit our protected question banks, explanations, flashcards, mock assessments or other materials. Your subscription provides permission to access and use the relevant resources. It does not transfer ownership of intellectual property rights in those resources. Account access, permitted personal use and any permissions for downloading, printing or sharing are governed by our Terms and Conditions. Do not share account credentials or provide others with unauthorised access to subscription content.
Access to PharmMentor may occasionally be interrupted by maintenance, updates, technical faults or connectivity problems. Technical issues may affect timers, the display of questions, the submission of answers or the recording of progress. We take reasonable steps to maintain the platform and address problems brought to our attention, but cannot promise uninterrupted or fault-free access. Please report missing content, incorrect marking, lost progress or other technical problems through our Contact page. This section does not remove our responsibility to provide the service as agreed or affect any remedies available to you under applicable law.
This disclaimer explains the intended purpose and limitations of PharmMentor. It does not remove your statutory consumer rights or our legal responsibilities. Where applicable, you retain your rights to digital content that is of satisfactory quality, fit for the relevant purpose and as described, and to services provided with reasonable care and skill. Any rights to repair, replacement, repeat performance, a price reduction, a refund or another remedy remain available where the law provides them. We do not exclude or restrict liability for death or personal injury arising from our negligence. We also do not exclude liability for fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation or anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded or restricted. The statements about educational use, assessment outcomes, AI limitations and external resources do not excuse us from obligations that apply to our own content, services or representations. This disclaimer does not override specific commitments we have made to you about your subscription.
Please report suspected errors, outdated guidance, unclear explanations, broken links, technical problems or intellectual property concerns through our feedback facility, where available, or our Contact page. Include the question or resource title, its identifying number where available, a description of the concern and any relevant supporting reference. Do not include information that could identify a patient or confidential workplace material. Read this disclaimer alongside our Terms and Conditions, Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy. Subscription payments, renewals, cancellations and refunds are addressed in the relevant subscription terms. This disclaimer does not introduce separate restrictions on those rights. We may update this disclaimer to reflect changes to our resources, service or legal requirements. The revised date will be shown at the top of the page. Changes will not retrospectively remove rights you already have. Any changes affecting an existing subscription will be handled in accordance with its terms and applicable law.
